Terms and Conditions
- Tariffs / rates are subject to the type of tenancy / hire agreement requested and availability at the time (i.e. flat-rental, holiday let, etc).
- Advance tariffs / payments, shall be required applicable to the type of tenancy / hire agreement requested and availability at the time (i.e. flat-rental, holiday let, etc). It may be that full payment is required at the time of booking and in advance of entry.
- In the event of cancellation, full payment will be due, therefore, holiday / travel insurance is recommended.
- The tenanted / hired property shall be used solely for the purpose agreed, unless otherwise applied for in writing to Shetland Accommodation.
- The number of persons occupying any given property must not exceed the number in any tenancy / hire agreement unless applied for in advance, and agreed in writing, by Shetland Accommodation.
- Tenants / hirers are required to leave the property(s) clean and tidy at the end of each tenancy / hire otherwise a cleaning charge shall be incurred.
- The owner (or his representative) shall inspect all properties to ensure that they are left in good, clean tenantable order, as found, and to his (or his representative's) entire satisfaction.
- Tenants / hirers shall be responsible for any breakages and/or damages to the property, furnishings, etc (All breakages and/or damages must be logged, reported to the owner and paid for prior to departure).
- NO smoking is allowed within Shetland Accommodation properties.
- NO pets are allowed.
- Entry to all properties by the owner (or his representative) at ALL times shall be a condition of any tenancy / hire agreement, and in the event of emergency. This may also be necessary for inspection, maintenance and/or any running repairs. Due respect shall always be exercised, in accordance with any tenancy and/or hire agreement, but also in a reasonable manner in terms of forewarning to tenants / hirers, as far as possible, and as, specifically, applicable.
- All tenants / hirers are respectfully requested to be aware and ensure that noise must be kept to reasonable levels at all times. In no circumstances, should this be allowed to extend beyond the above noted reasonable parameters, or become extreme.
